Tháinig slua mór seanthuismitheoir go dtí an scoil ar an Aoine an 29ú Eanáir chun searmanas Lá na Seanthuismitheoirí a cheiliúradh. Bhí na daltaí ag canadh amhráin, dráma beag agus ag rá paidreacha. Bheannaigh an tAthair Seán Ó Cruadhlaoich na seantuismitheoirí agus ansin bheannaigh sé na Crois Bhríde a dheineadh an Luan seo chaite le cabhair ó thuismitheoirí. Chuir Cumann na dTuistí cupán tae ar fáil le bácáil a cuireadh ar fáil ó na tuismitheoirí sa Halla. Míle buíochas do gach éinne a thug tacaíocht don lá iontach seo.
There was a large attendance at Grandparents’ Day which was held on Friday 29th January. It started off with songs from the children, a sketch about forgiveness, some prayers and then stories, poems and cards the children had written for their grandparents. Múinteoir Deirdre Towns was Master of Ceremonies. Fr. Seán Crowley blessed the grandparents and then blessed the St Brigid’s crosses which were made in school last Monday with the help of parents. The Parents’ Association provided teas and coffees afterwards in the Halla which was served with some baking and biscuits supplied by parents. A huge thank you to everyone who supported this joyful occasion. Ní neart go cur le chéile.
